About the Conference, Participants and Hosts
The NorthLegal Bankruptcy Conference is a three-and-a-half day program that provides intensive training to consumer lending professionals regarding their rights and obligations during Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. This year the program will be held from August 22 through 25 at Bally's Resort and Casino. This will mark the eleventh year the conference is held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Participants come to the conference each year from all over the country. Most work within the bankruptcy and/or collections arena at their financial institution, or supervise those who do, but we often have compliance personnel, lenders, managers and even CEOs as well. Attendance generally runs in the 80s and 90s. In 2010 the conference drew 91 people from 25 states. So far for 2011 we are ahead of last year's numbers.
The conference is jointly hosted by NorthLegal Training and Publications, by the state credit union trade associations from 42 states, and by the law firm of Moore, Brewer, Jones, Tyler & North.

We believe the ability for conference participants to meet with businesses that provide products or services they need is an important part of the conference experience. At the same time, we believe that the opportunity to meet with clients and potential clients can provide significant benefits to those who provide those products or services.
As a result, we are pleased to again invite those who provide products or services to consumer lending institutions to join their clients and potential clients for a Vendors' Reception on Tuesday evening, August 23, from 5:00 to 7:30 at Bally's. NorthLegal will provide refreshments, non-alcoholic drinks, and a cash bar.
For a fee of $250.00, each vendor will receive the following:
| • | Access to a covered, skirted 6' table in the reception room for two representatives of the vendor. (A vendor may bring an additional one or two representatives for $125.00 each. Unfortunately, we must limit each vendor to four total representatives.) Tables will be chosen by vendors in the order in which they sign up to participate. When your participation fee is received you will be assigned a number and be given an opportunity to choose from the remaining tables. (A projected room layout may be viewed in PDF by clicking here.) In the event the room or room layout changes, vendors will be given the opportunity to choose again in numerical order. |
| • | The opportunity to briefly say a few words about the products or services you offer and to conduct a drawing for a gift that you provide (both if you choose to do so) at some point during the evening. Tentatively, comments and drawings will begin at 7:00, but that may change if a better idea comes along. |
| • | Listing in the "Vendor Directory" that will be provided with the handout materials to all conference participants and that will be included on the conference website before and for a period of 30 days after the conference. |
Vendors from out of town who would like to spend the night before or after the Vendors' Reception are welcome to take advantage of the room rates negotiated by NorthLegal Training and Publications: $65.00 at Bally's and $85.00 at Paris. Both hotels have promised that if they advertise a lower rate before the program that rate will be available to group members.
